Safety Relays

Safety Relays can be considered “specialty” safe load switching devices that use redundant, positive-guided relay circuits that insure loads are de-energized even if their contacts weld together. In addition to internal monitoring, safety relays can also detect faults in inputs and external devices they are connected to insure safe operation of equipment. Although most applications of safety relays are used in E-Stop circuits, and as an interface to other safety devices like safety switches and light curtains, there are several specialized modules available for specific applications:

• Intrinsically Safe Monitoring Circuits
• Standstill Monitors
